Sharing findings gathered from the survey: “Responsible AI in LA across UK Higher Education”

The FairAI4EdTech team shared the findings of the recent survey on Responsible AI in LA across UK Higher Education, highlighting key challenges HE institutions face when adoption LA/PLA systems. Digital Pedagogy: Showcasing OU Analyse dashboard to the Department for Education

On Thursday 31st of October Dr Paul Mulholland attended a meeting with representatives of the UK Department for Education. The FairAI4EdTech team at the Lovelace-Hodgkin Symposium in Glasgow

Dr Alba Morales Tirado attended the Lovelace-Hodgkin Symposium on AI and Ethics, which was hosted by the University of Glasgow at the Advanced Research Center. The event took place over three days, from October 2nd to 4th, and brought together academic researchers and policymakers to discuss the complex ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Six-month milestone: Fairness Innovation Challenge – project showcase!

To mark the six-month milestone of the Fairness Innovation Challenge competition, the team will be participating in the showcase organised by the UK Government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The event will take place in London on the 17th of October. The team will take the stage to share the progress of our Six-month milestone: Fairness Innovation Challenge – project showcase!

Survey Launch! Exploring Responsible AI in Learning Analytics: Your Perspective Matters!

At the end of September 2024 the team, in collaboration with HESPA (Higher Education Strategic Planners Association), launched a questionnaire to gather information about the current status of the adoption and implementation of Learning Analytics systems in UK Higher Education Institutions.
