The FairAI4EdTech team Prof Miriam Fernandez and Vaclav Bayer were at the 15th Learning Analytics and Knowledge conference (LAK25) in Dublin, Ireland in March 2025. LAK25 is the premier conference of Learning Analytics, organized by the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR) with Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin).
Profesor Miriam Fernandez presented the latest version of “Responsible AI in Practice: A Responsible AI Framework for Learning Analytics in Higher Education” featuring the work developed as part of the Fairness Innovation Challenge and Fair AI for Education. The presentation was part of the 2nd Workshop on Challenges and Opportunities of Learning Analytics Adoption in Higher Education program (https://sites.google.com/view/lak25adoptionworkshop/home).
The event gathered experts from around the world and was the most suitable venue to exchange experiences regarding the adoption of responsible AI principles for Learning Analytics.
