
On Thursday 6th of February the Nuffield Foundation and Ada Lovelace Institute hosted a special event to mark the publication of a new joint report – A learning curve? A landscape review of AI in Education in the UK, followed by a panel discussion and an introduction to upcoming activities in this field.
Dr Alba Morales Tirado participated actively of the event sharing insightful conversations with other participants regarding their views on AI and EdTech evolution, highlighting current challenges in the field.
This in-person event gathered more than 50 experts around EdTech innovations in UK schools and was followed by a panel discussion with policy and practice experts exploring the issues raised by AI in education. The discussion was chaired by John Thornhill, Innovation Editor at the Financial Times and the panelists were Melanie Renowden, CEO of the National Institute of Teaching, Dr Rajeshwari Iyer, Co-founder and CEO of sAInaptic, Bridie Tooher, Deputy Director (Digital Strategy) at the Department for Education, and Renate Samson, Project Lead (Data and Digital Society) and author of the report.
